VLEs: Beyond the Fringe and Into the Mainstream


This eight day conference looked at the use of Virtual Learning Environments, and ways to embed them into the teaching and learning practices of colleges and universities. With over 260 delegates, from the school, college and university sector, most delegates were based in the UK, with some delegates from abroad.

The conference featured 18 workshop sessions and 17 papers and presentations, it was a very busy, but very rewarding, conference. As one delegate said:

"...absolutely wonderful - can't praise it enough in quality of keynote papers and responses. I was inspired whilst sitting at my desk on a Friday afternoon!"

Although this conference ran over eight days, there were six days of proceedings. Each conference day had different papers and workshops, exercises and social interaction.
